大蝦是農歷新年吉祥菜中不可缺少的食材。蝦,取其名代表歡樂。「蝦」在廣東話裏有「哈哈笑」的寓意。吃了大蝦,全年笑聲滿遍,幸福洋溢。

大蝦的營養價值很高,富含omega-3 脂肪酸,促進腦部健康,有助預防心臟疾病。每週進食8安士富含omega-3 脂肪酸的海鮮,例如三文魚(鮭魚),吞拿魚(金槍魚)以及沙丁魚,會給予你所需的omega-3 脂肪酸含量。少吃多滋味,多吃壞肚皮。要控制進食大蝦的份量,保持低膽固醇。用開水煮熟或者以蒸的方法烹調大蝦,沾上低鹽醬油與麻油的調料,簡單、健康又美味。
